Extremely lightweight and strong carbon fibre material which is coated with a glossy rigid plastic protective coating that penetrates into the material and guarantees optimum protection.
This exhaust heat guad for the BMW F 800 R replaces the original component using the original attachment points. Most prominent are the weight savings (as a rule, a saving of approx. 70% compared to the original component) and increased rigidity.
The plastic covering exceeds the customary clear lacquer covering in the protective effect, scratch resistance, and durability to a large degree. But the covering does not only score technically, it also clearly underscores the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure.
For the production of components fitted near the exhaust, we use a special high temperature pre-preg material to keep discolouration and burnup of the carbon as low as possible.
